My name is Alyssa, and I am the woman behind Sugar Mama KC. For more info on how our small business got started, click here.
I am a graphic designer with a knack for designing + decorating cookies for any occasion. Though I do all planning, designing, and decorating for Sugar Mama KC, I do have some background help that keeps everything running smoothly. My husband, Gustavo (Gus, for short), has our cookie recipe down to a science, and he isn’t shy about showing his precision and baking skills off.
We have been together since 2015, when we still lived in Manhattan, KS. We moved to KCMO in 2018. Then we eventually made our way to Overland Park, KS and got married all in 2023. Since moving to the metro, we have expanded our family with two very sweet and energetic Aussie Shepherds named Buddy and Finn. All four of us together make for one very busy, happy, and loving family.
